Larkspur Lasers

The Lasers Swim Team proudly represents the Larkspur Swim and Racquet Club (LSRC) in the Virginia Beach Swim League (VBSL), competing in the Marlin Division.  Swimmers of all abilities, ages 4-18, join in the fun each year, making friends in the community and fun summer league memories while learning the 4 competitive strokes we use in competition.

We are very proud of our 2021 Larkspur Lasers Swim Team.  We placed 3rd in the Marlin Division in the regular season and were Co Champions for the Marlin Divisional Championship Swim Meet.  Go Lasers!

Looking ahead the 2022 VBSL season is slated to begin on Tuesday, May 31st.    While VBCPS are in session, we will offer evening practices.   Once summer break begins, practices will move to mornings.  We will also be offering our popular Swim School for our youngest swimmers who might not be quite ready to join the swim team.

Swim Team Registration for the 2022 season will begin on May 1st for LSRC Members and open to the public on May 9th.

We are eagerly awaiting the fun of summer 2022!   We hope that you will join us!    Please continue to check back for the latest information on the Lasers.  You can also follow us on Facebook and Instagram.

Volunteer Opportunities

Parent Volunteers:  Our season wouldn’t happen without dedicated parents like you. The Larkspur Lasers do require each swimmer/family to provide a parent volunteer for all home meets.  Many of our opportunities offer awesome views of the action and give parents an opportunity to make summer league friends too!  Questions about available opportunities then please contact the team representative at to learn more today!

Junior Coach:  Mentor a young swimmer and earn volunteer hours!  A Junior Coach is a middle school or high school volunteer who would like to volunteer their time and swim know how to mentor, teach, and encourage our youngest Lasers. Jr Coaches MUST have a positive attitude, be available and reliable, and have some prior swimming experience.

Swim Buddy:   Be an encouragement to a fellow swim team member!   This is an optional program open to all swimmers.   Designed to build connections between team members of all ages.  Participants enjoy making signs or filling little goody bags for their buddy!  (No more than $5 a meet.)

Fundraising Opportunities

Concessions Stand:  Seeking volunteer(s) to assist with the concessions stand for the 2022 season.   Email if interested.
