Larkspur Lasers

The Lasers Swim Team proudly represents the Larkspur Swim and Racquet Club (LSRC) in the Virginia Beach Swim League (VBSL), competing in the Marlin Division.  Swimmers of all abilities, ages 4-18, join in the fun each year, making friends in the community and fun summer league memories while learning the 4 competitive strokes we use in competition.

We return to the water on June 1st when practices begin.  While VBCPS are in session, we will practice Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday evenings.   Once summer break begins, practices will move to four mornings a week Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.  We are also bringing back our popular Swim School offering on June 23rd, for our youngest swimmers who might not be quite ready to join a swim team.

We are eagerly awaiting the fun of summer 2021!   We hope that you will join us!    Please continue to check back for the latest information on the Lasers.  You can also follow us on Facebook and Instagram.

Fundraising Opportunities

Red, White & Blue Swim A Thon:   The Larkspur Lasers will continue the tradition of the Red, White, and Blue Swim a Thon on Thursday, July 8th during each practice session.  Swimmers are asked to collect pledges or flat donations and then will swim laps during their designated practice times.  Prizes will be given for top fundraiser as well as for top lap swimmer in each practice.  Our last swimathon enabled us to purchase new lane lines and flags.   This time we would like to utilize the money for improvements to our timing equipment including the possibility of a scoreboard, and support Larkspur to raise money for needed updates to the pool itself.  Your support of this fundraising effort is much appreciated but not required for your swimmer to participate in this event.  All donations are due on Thursday, July 15, 2021.
